In versie 7 is onder andere de interface aangepast en het programma maakt nu gebruik van een zogenaamde Ribbon, die we van Microsoft Office 2007 en latere versies kennen. Zo kunnen pijlen, cirkels en tekst worden aangebracht om bijvoorbeeld dingen te verduidelijken. Daarnaast kunnen afbeeldingen worden bewerkt. Ook is een autoscrollfunctie aanwezig, waarmee screenshots kunnen worden gemaakt van vensters die groter zijn dan het scherm, bijvoorbeeld van een webpagina. Met dit programma kunnen screenshots worden gemaakt van het hele scherm, alleen een venster of een zelf te bepalen gedeelte. Hyperionics heeft versie 7 van HyperSnap uitgebracht en inmiddels is ook de eerste update alweer beschikbaar gekomen.
