The water temperature is a constant 45 degrees and the teal water is crystal clear. The largest natural, freshwater spring in Michigan, it is 40 feet deep and 200 feet across. Located 11 miles north of US-2 outside of Manistique. So disappointing and ruined our anniversary completely.One of Michigan’s most popular attractions, it welcomes over 60,000 visitors annually. We have stayed in many hotels and have had better experiences for much less cost than this. We informed the front desk person upon checking out about our disappointing stay when she asked how it was and were told someone would call us regarding the matter, but almost a week has passed and no one has called or reached out. We checked out by 6:30am because we couldn't take it anymore and just wanted to go home. It definitely ruined our entire stay which we had looked forward to for months as it was our first time away in years and just wanted one peaceful night. We never went to sleep and I am unsure why the hotel does not have any security walking around to make sure other guests are not disturbing everyone else staying there. Even though our room was literally at the very end of a hallway by the outer side of the building, multiple people were slamming their room doors and yelling loudly and slamming doors some more ALL NIGHT LONG. The pillows are square and not normal rectangles so good luck sleeping on them. Overall, the hotel and room were clean enough but the beds and pillows were super uncomfortable. We did make reservations to eat there for dinner but after looking over and seeing some of the clientele lurking at the bar area we went out instead as it was not family friendly. We checked in with no issues, except that you can barely hear the employee you are speaking to over the loud pulsating music coming from the restaurant /bar 10 feet away in the same lobby which was super annoying. We were taking a local staycation overnight for the first time away from our child ever to celebrate our twelve year anniversary and found the Cambria as a good choice that was near home and because it was new and appeared clean.
